softboiled

Every recipe you've ever loved, in one place.

01 — What this is

Built for collectors,
not browsers.

softboiled is for people with a large existing recipe collection — cookbooks, handwritten cards, printed clippings, scanned pages, links in five different apps. It brings all of it into one searchable library, plans meals from it, and lets you adapt recipes without losing the original.

02Ingestion

Bring it all in.

A cookbook page on your shelf, a URL someone sent you, a PDF in your downloads, a recipe card from your mom. Photograph it, paste it, or upload it — softboiled pulls out the title, ingredients, steps, and source, and files it in your library.

03Library

One library,
every recipe.

Search across your entire collection — by ingredient, cuisine, cookbook, cook time, dietary tag, or what's currently in your pantry. The recipe you made once three years ago and can't remember the name of is one search away.

04Simmer

Change a recipe without losing it.

Your grandma's pot roast, made plant-based. The chocolate chip cookies from the back of the bag, with half the sugar. Simmer reworks any recipe to fit how you cook now — and saves the new version as a softboild, separate from the original. You never lose what came before.

05Family

Cooks for whoever you're cooking for.

Your partner is allergic to peanuts. Your kid won't eat anything green. Your in-laws are visiting and one of them is vegan. softboiled remembers — peanut recipes are filtered out, vegetable-forward dinners get demoted, and meal-plans pick something that works for everyone at the table.

06 — Q&A

Questions, asked
and answered.

Why "softboiled"?+

Because you keep simmering a recipe until it meets your preferences. Do you like it runny or hardboiled? Childhood memories of grandma's famous pot roast, but you're plant-based now? Your gluten-free sister is coming to town for the weekend and you want to tailor a menu to her preferences? Have a friend's whipped ricotta recipe that you want to use in your favorite lasagna recipe? Simmer it.

What's the closed beta?+

We're letting people in slowly while we polish the rough edges. Request an invite and we'll get you in within a few days.

Is my data private?+

Your recipes are yours. We don't sell them, train AI models on them, or share them with anyone. Full terms on the Privacy page.

What does it cost?+

Free during closed beta. $10/month after launch, which includes a $10 usage budget for Simmer and ingestion. Buy credits if you go over, or stay under it — your call.

Does it work on my phone?+

Yes. Install it from your browser — softboiled is a PWA, no app store needed. Once a recipe is loaded, it works offline.
